"Silver & Gold & Such"

"Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk." - Acts 3:6

"For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:…” - Luke 12: 48

Jesus’ words in Luke 12 leads me to examine my devotion and allegiance to the kingdom of God.  To be completely surrendered, to trust the Lord with all that I have, is my desire.  And then the Lord turns to promise me that He will take care of ALL my need.  Perhaps you have been conditioned, like me, to easily say, "I have no more to give", or "I don’t give in that way".  Peter and John looked at a beggar and responded in a Spirit filled manner, instantly:  "We don’t have money, but we will give you our best - we will call upon the Lord right now and ask Him for help.”  I am challenged to walk straight to the need and not to pass by on the other side. Now, I cannot say like Peter and John that I don’t have any money, because, obviously, I do. I have money. I have time. I have prayer. I have influence. I have all kinds of resources at my fingertips.  What about you?

When the Lord has your path cross the path of one that "fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead”; what do you do?

Please take time to pray for SSI's efforts right now.  Satan is seeking to destroy every effort to promote the Gospel. Please decide what you can give up so that you can give a few dollars today - a little or a lot.

Luke 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The Project Zukwe Team has already begun heading to Zimbabwe. We are anticipating great things to happen in the village of Zukwe and the surrounding area for God's glory. We will be posting to both our Facebook and Instagram throughout the team's time in Zimbabwe.

We have announced our next project to assist a pastor in Zambia. The Lord is allowing SSI to gain momentum and we praise Him for that. Click the link below to see more about Project Zukwe and to consider giving to our current or upcoming projects! God bless you, and remember...#itsaboutpeople
